Rails

Rails - a system of rails and platforms along which the moving portal of the machine or the cutting head platform "slides".

Types of rails:

1. Magnetic linear rails
Installed for cutting with accuracy up to a thousandth of a millimeter at speeds over 50 meters per minute.

Disadvantages: high cost, demanding thorough maintenance and cleaning from iron dust and combustion products. Otherwise, they may fail and cause expensive repairs.

2. Ball linear rails
Installed on all machines that require accuracy up to a hundredth of a millimeter at an average speed of up to 40 meters per minute. Of course, they can withstand higher loads, but the resource may be exhausted faster.

Disadvantages: may jam, require constant lubrication.
